Fahrenheit 451

At my school and at home I have been reading the book "Fahrenheit 451". So far I am on page 34 and i had to reread part 1 to remember and understand the book better. "Fahrenheit 451" is a little difficult book for me to read but the book is really interesting and gets my attention once I focus.

INSIDE OUT

Are both Prufrock and Gatsby different in the inside? Prufrock feels lonely and just wants to feel loved, to love someone. He feels like he has no one even though he has seen different people.  Now Gatsby, he is very lonely and he is in love, all he wants is to get the love of his life back, to go back to how things were before he left to war. For me he is too obsessed with Daisy. The way they feel in the inside is different from the way others see them and think of them. People think Prufrock is okay and there might be nothing wrong with him. People see Gatsby as a very rich man who knows a lot of people and has lots of friends. That hes happy for what he has and people he might know.  People wouldn't think hes lonely in the inside. Personally, I know people who try to act like someone else on the outside but in the inside they are this other person who's not okay, who feels alone and sad. Lot of people do that for many reasons, we all sometimes appear as something else on

The Beautiful View

Image
Yesterday, on my way home from the store with my family, I got to see the beautiful sunset. The sunset is an amazing view you can look at everyday in the afternoon. For me, it relaxes me and puts me in a very positive mood. Makes me think of the world and just life, how amazing life is. Life isn't perfect at all and we all have our ups and downs in life, but we tend to focus sometimes more on the negative things in our life. Nature is just something amazing that just makes me think of all the good and blessings in my life that I should be grateful about and focus on instead of the negative.

The Great Gatsby Chapter 1

Chapter one of "The Great Gatsby" introduces the characters and introduces the settings. Nick Carraway is the narrator in the book. Nick Carraway explains where he is from and where he moved to. Nick is a man that comes from a wealthy family from Midwest and moved to West Egg and gets a small house between big mansions after he got home from the war. He's a very reserved man who keeps his opinions and judgments to himself, whom he learned from his dad growing up. In chapter one he goes visits his Cousin Daisy across the bay. Daisy is a beautiful woman who comes from wealthy family and is married to Tom Buchanan. Daisy doesn't really care about others but herself and we as readers don't really get to know her inner thoughts. She has  little daughter who she hopes to be "a beautiful little fool". Now Tom is a very bad person who is aggressive and assertive. He is also racist and used to play football in collage. Tom comes from a very wealthy family t

Is Gatsby a mystery?

I believe Jay Gatsby is a mystery in "The Great Gatsby" because even though he throws parties all the time and different people show up, even uninvited guest, no one really knows who he truly is. Some people get to talk to him or see him, see his cars and, his house but no one knows where he came from. People make up or hear stories about Jay Gatsby and believe they are true rumors because they don't know him. He does tell Nick a little about himself so he can gain his trust but Gatsby Isn't fully honest to Nick about his life, so at first in the story no one really knows Gatsby well. I don't feel like the book "The Great Gatsby" is a mystery because the author in this book gives the reader as much detail so the reader can picture what happens in the book and scenes.

Smartphones?

I think smartphones are good to communicate with others through calls or text. They are good to search up information on the internet if you are wondering about something or have a question. Smartphones are also good to use to listen to  music and many other things. But, i do believe they are bad for teens or even adults to use. People have a harder time talking to someone in person now. People always use their phones to text friends or call them instead of going out and socializing. Phones become addicting and I think they become more addicting to teens more then adults.  Teens use phones more often for social media then any other apps. Social media can be fun in a way and sometimes you make new friends but social media can also be stressful. As teens we sometimes don't think before sending something out and posting it. Teens also use their phones to get answers for school work at times and don't use their brains and knowledge. I believe using the Internet to find answers

THE BENEFIT

Learning about this topic will help me is different ways. By learning about this topic I will learn more about how the brain works, how it makes us think and feel is situations. I will learn about different mental health disorders and how the brain works with each one. Learning about this topic can help me more with life and to understand and accept life situations. I can help the world if I learn about this topic by helping people to keep going in life and know that there are people who can help them.
