Open question

I started getting interested on how therapist, like counselors, help you and if they could actually help you with your life and emotions after I started taking Counselling therapy.  At the beginning I thought that my counselor wouldn't be able to help me with my personal life problems, that i wouldn't get maybe advice that I would use in my life. After a few sessions, I started seeing that she was helping me get through some tough life problems and i started getting interested in how she was just helping me and knew how to help me and what advice to give me with any problem I had.  I'm a person that loves to help others when they have any life problems and just love to lift people up, make people smile and laugh. Even if I might not know the person well or what advice to give sometimes, I try to make the person feel better about themselves and about life. 

My big question focuses on Counselling and Family therapy. Counselling is one of the most common talking therapy for people. Counselling is a talking therapy were trained therapists help you with your emotional problems and listen to you. A counselling therapist is someone you can trust and you can be open up with. Family therapy are trained therapist that are there to help you with family issues or couple relationships. Before you become a therapist, you have to take certain classes and majors. You also have to have a masters degree to get a job as a therapist.  I got interested in this because I'm thinking of becoming a either a Counselor or Family therapist later after high school. I want to know how the brain works when we think and feel and I also want to help people. 

The main idea of "On Self-Reliance" by Emerson is to let us know that we should do what we believe is right for us and we shouldn't worry about what others might say or think of us.  Emerson tells us that we should look for the answers within us and not others. Emerson's tone supports the main idea because he expresses passion for life and self-reliance. "On Self-Reliance" tone gets the readers attention and persuades the reader.  The diction supports Emerson's essay because it persuades the reader to trust himself/herself, "Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string." We should detect our great ideas, trust yourself and believe yourself, "A man should learn to detect and watch that gleam of light which flashes across his mind from within, more than the luster of the firmament of bards and sages." I agree with Emerson on relying on myself. I use Emerson's idea everyday by trying to trust myself and look for...

For me this learning experience is helping me already because i feel like I'm becoming a bit better at writing and writing out most of my thoughts especially on the journal. I'm also learning new words and to if i don't understand a word to search up the meaning in order to understand a sentence instead of going on with readings. I would also like to decorate the classroom with inspirational drawings or quotes.

I've been reading an interesting book named "The Devouring" by Simon Holt. This story is about demons and bad spirits that find people to take their souls once a year during winter on Sorry Night. So far what I've read the main character of the story finds an old scary book at the old bookstore where she works at and reads it to her brother. The old book is a horror book about spirits that take people souls. I think that after she read the box to her brother,days later what she read from the book comes to real life.

"On Self-reliance" by Emerson, if confusing to me because of the way the word are put and because of some words i don't understand. I do agree with some of the things he says but some are dumb.

In my opinion we should all recognize what is happening and realize the consequences of people that aren’t in the military and are buying guns for hunting or for safety. Hunting animals and killing animal for fun isn't right in my opinion. It shouldn't be done. Some animals are becoming extinct because people hunt them. I understand some people have guns for safety but sometimes turn out to be used to harm others. I say only army people should have guns.
