Young Goodman Brown Questions
1.) I think Hawthorne's purpose to writing the story was to say that there's both good and evil in this world.
2.) Even after reading the story I still agrees with his wife name being Faith. Her name does fit her personality. At the beginning he has faith in his wife.
3.) I think the pink ribbons signify good and good things.
4.) everything brown witnessed was a dream. "What a wretch am I, to leave her on such an errand! She talks of dreams, too."
5.) The old man was the devil. "The devil!" screamed the pious old lady.
6.) The Taft represents temptation and evil.
